One guy from Reddit accidentally created the most useful website on the internet.
It's called FMHY (Free Media Heck Yeah). Google even removed it from search results after complaints of copyright infringement.
However, it is still online and has become one of the most comprehensive catalogs of free resources on the internet.
That's how it works.
1/ What exactly is FMHY?
FMHY does not host files, movies, or software.
This is a huge wiki that collects free resources from the internet and organizes them into categories so that you can easily find them.
Additionally, each link includes security assessments to help you identify trusted sites.
2/ What can you find inside?
→ Movies and TV series
→ Music and Audio
→ Software and professional tools
→ Courses and learning platforms
→ Books and articles
→ Free alternatives to AI tools
→ Extensions for safer browsing
And this is just a small part of everything that is included in the package.
3/ The most curious thing about all this
FMHY started out as a simple Google Doc created by a Reddit user.
Google eventually removed it from the search results, but the community restored it and made it even more resilient.
Today, it works thanks to several backup domains and a small group of volunteers who keep it up to date.
